In July we had the opportunity to attend the ICT conference in Luxembourg. And it brought its fruits! The top European tech exhibition and conference ICT SPRING has brought us several new opportunities, business relationships and potential collaborations that we are very excited about.

We want to get you excited, too! That’ s why we decided to share some tips and tricks to inspire you to make your own way around the ICT Spring conference and have some useful tricks down your sleeve.

Why choose the ICT Spring conference?

An ICT Spring conference is a lot different than attending other conferences. It is not so mainstream and the conference participants are very active in meeting new people and open to establishing partnerships. So get ready for lots of networking — merch, QR codes, business cards, business cards with QR codes, have it all at the ready to give out.

Accommodation

If you’re not into wandering around town, it’s nice to get an accommodation near the T1 tram that will take you straight to Lux Expo. For example, an Airbnb apartment accommodation is the perfect place for the whole family. Thanks to the location of the apartment, it is possible to arrive at the ICT Spring conference within 30 minutes. The trams in Luxembourg are clean and air-conditioned — so you don’t have to worry about the subway. The prices for accommodation here are quite high, so if you don’t want to spend “too much money”, we recommend using the airbnb services.

Transport, parking & public transport in Luxembourg

An importent insider insight we would like to share with you is that it would be better to take a smaller car for traveling. An SUV is not exactly ideal for their parking. In fact, rooftop parking is more common here than underground parking. And fitting in an elevator to take the car up isn’t exactly fun for big cars.

So we’d have parking, but what about the traffic situation?

If you plan to get around Luxembourg by car instead of public transport, it’s a classic situation like in any other big city. That means traffic jams during the rush hours in the morning and afternoon when people are driving to and from work.

Travelling on public transport is free in Luxembourg, which we rate as a massive plus point, so it’s great to make the most of it and save yourself the hassle of traffic jams.

Walking

The nearby park is the perfect place to take a break from the busy city centre. Soak up the tranquillity and return, at least for a while, back to nature. If you’re thinking of visiting Luxembourg with your family, there’s a park next to the recommended accommodation where you’ll even find a pirate ship for the kids to play in — you won’t be able to get them off it, we tested that personally!

The square — restaurants

An interesting fact about Luxembourg is that the centre is all work. This means that entertainment facilities can mostly be found outside the centre. In the centre of Luxembourg, you can walk to Jan Palach Square where there are a couple of restaurants where you can have dinner, but beware, almost all of them close at 7pm. So if you want to party late, you’ll have to leave the center and explore the surrounding areas with enough lively fun.

With its rich, quality program and great atmosphere, we look forward to coming back next year for the the ICT expo. If you would like any further hints and tips, please feel free to email us at marketing@denevy.eu.
